Pearl Beach resorts and bungalows are a mix of older resorts, a couple of boutique choices, villas, cheaper bungalow operations, camping and a few long stay rooms. All sit along its shingle shore or under the hills on the other side of the road.
It’s a very peaceful and laid back area, with White Sand Beach and Chai Chet Beach just a few kilometres away in either direction, so you can easily head out to those spots for more life and some proper sand between your toes.
Prices given are for the peak Xmas period via booking sites, not the hotel websites. They are intended as guides only.

Pearl Beach Resorts
At the northern end, behind the containing wall, the boutique resort, Baan Ton Rak, comprises rooms around the courtyard, a small swimming pool and the house high up on the hill above. It’s all excellently maintained, with superiors at 2,200bt and deluxe suites for the family at 3,700bt.
The largest of the Pearl Beach resorts, Koh Chang Resortel sits on the seafront. It’s a curiosity to say the least, with two double storey blocks of accommodation running alongside a fabulous Olympic sized swimming pool, keenly priced at 500bt upwards a night – but still almost completely empty.
With newer rooms down by the water, Koh Chang Privilege, next door to Resortel, remains a very well spaced out bungalow operation and a great under-the-radar choice. It too has a small pool. Rates start as low as 850bt for a garden option, 1,200bt for the sea view.
Roadside in the same section, Keereeta Resort, one of Koh Chang’s older resorts, offers an esoteric collection of rooms either upstairs or down, all set around a central swimming pool. Prices range from 1,350bt to 1,650bt for the upper level pool view.
Southern End
At the southern end down by the sea, Saffron on the Sea, has boutique style bungalows at 1,300bt a night for ones at the back and 1,650bt for ocean facing. Even if not staying here, you can have lunch or dinner on the seafront terrace at its in-house Thai bistro.
Khai Mook next door has a vast array of choices on the seafront and along the little street behind. It’s aimed at the Thai market but their summerly looking huts are from 750bt a night.
Continue along and Penny’s Resort has cheap rates again in that 1,000bt to 1,500bt mark, its well kept standard rooms closely packed around a small swimming pool.

100 metres further along on the other side of abandoned nightclub, The Studio is a tiny Thai guesthouse over three floors, with a/c rooms from 600bt. You can eat at the food court directly opposite.
At the far southern end up by the road, there is now a small Thai resort, with bungalows aligned in two rows up the hillside, which could suit someone looking for long term rentals. It does not, as yet, have an English name.
