Ao Takian, a lovely wild stretch of beach on the south west coast of Koh Kood, now has just one resort down on the sand itself – the 3/4 star Ajinta Resort.
Ajinta Resort has accommodation either in rooms in the three storey hotel block at the rear, prices between 4,300bt and 5,200bt or in villas dotted around the garden, 6,800bt for standard, 8,700bt to 9,800bt for the pool villa, 14,200bt for the beachfront and 19,500bt for the 2 bedroom.
Back up at the main drag, a few other bungalows operations are also available. Heal Kohkood has just 5 new bungalows in set back from the road at around 1,700bt a night, breakfast too. Nearby, the popular backpacker spot Eve House offers a whole array of options (miniumum stay 2 nights) from 350bt for a bunk in a mixed dorm, 850bt a night for a fan bungalow, 2,000bt for an a/c option and 2,500bt for family (2 x doubles). Its reggae inspired neighbour Wooden House is similarly configured and priced, beautiful garden for good measure.
Further along, the small, friendly Kuba comprises just a handful of either fan bungalows at 1,350bt or a/c at 1,650bt, restaurant and bar out front.

Backpacker bungalow resort set back from the main road from the just around the corner from the turning to Ao Takian Beach. 19 rooms, mixture of fan with cold or fan with hot water, plus a couple of larger style with a/c and a dorm, tv and fridge. Next door to Eve House, backpacker accommodation comes via basic fan and a/c rooms in collection of buildings in the lovely back garden near the creek. Fun graffiti strewn restaurant, with lots of reggae tunes, provides the chill-out area. WiFi.

A little further along from the other two backpacker spots, handful of large fan and a/c ensuite bamboo style bungalows in the garden behind the popular restaurant. WiFi. Motobike rental.
