Koh Kood transfers by either private car or private minibus are the most convenient way to get to Laem Sok Pier, the departure point for all mainland boats going to Koh Kood.
Collection is easily arranged from the main tourist areas in Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang Airport, Trat Airport, Pattaya, Ban Phe (Koh Samet), Koh Chang, the Cambodian borders and Cambodian cities.
From Bangkok, travel time is around 4.5 to 5 hours to Laem Sok with a couple of stops for diesel, snacks and toilet breaks along the way.

Collection Times – Bangkok Hotels
Collection time from your hotel is up to you but we co-ordinate with the boat departures as follows:-
- 04.45 for 10.00 Koh Kut Express Speedboat – 1/10/24 to 31/5/25 only
- 05.15 for 10.45 Boonsiri catamaran
- 06.00 for 11.30 Koh Kut Express speedboat (via Koh Mak) – 1/10/24 to 31/5/25 only
- 06.30 for 12.00 Seudamgo mini catamaran (via Koh Mak)
- 07.00 for 12.30 Koh Kood Princess slow boat
- 07.30 for 13.00 Boonsiri
- 07.45 for 13.30 Koh Kut Express slow boat
- 08.30 for 14.20 Seudamgo mini catamaran
- 09.00 for 15.00 Boonsiri
- 10.30 for 16.00 Seudamgo mini catamaran
- 10.30 for 16.00 Koh Kut Express speedboat (via Koh Mak) – 1/10/24 to 31/5/25 only
Of course, all transfers are available in the opposite direction, with the driver meeting you directly off your boat at the pier. For return boats, see the latest timetable here. Please note some boat times will change in rainy season June to September.
Collection Times – Bangkok Airports
If arriving into Suvarnbhumi Airport (BKK) on an international flight, your flight needs to land by 09.30 at the latest. Allowing a further 45 minutes at least to clear Immigration and baggage reclaim, we then have the driver on standby from 10.15 onwards. Domestic flights where you can proceed straight to the meeting point have a little more time.
For Don Mueang Airport (DMK) that International flight should land by 09.00 at the latest. Again,domestic flights give you some flexibility.
Meeting Points – Airports
Our driver meets you at Door 3 Level 2 at Suvarnabhumi or Door 5/6 Terminal 1 at Don Mueang. The meeting point for domestic arrivals at Don Mueang is Door 10/11 Terminal 2.
Transfers to Trat
For those not in a hurry or arriving too late into Suvarnabhumi Airport or DMK Airport to make the last boat at 16.00, we would suggest door to door Koh Kood transfers into Trat or to Laem Sok Pier.
In Trat, you can stay a night in one of the many guesthouses and then pick up the 40bt per person shuttle taxi offered by all the boat companies down to the pier on the following morning. If required, you need to confirm this service with your guesthouse on arrival. It’s about 45 minutes to the pier.
There is also one place to stay at Laem Sok Pier itself, Check and Chill.
Vehicles – Private Car or Minibus
For our private transfer car, we use an SUV style vehicle (Fortuner, Pajero, Innova, Miu-X, Suzuki 7). This is ideal for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. For larger groups, say 4 to 7 people, we use a Ventury or a Toyota Commuter private minibus.
All vehicles are fitted with seat belts.
Child Seats
We can supply a free child seat, with an additional one charged at 200bt extra.
If using 2 seats, we can use an SUV but space will be at a premium. If we use a minibus for 2 child seats as it affords much more room, please note only forward facing child seats are possible as the vehicle has only lap seatbelts.

Payment
Payment for Koh Kood private transfers is with an initial deposit and then the balance in THB cash on the day of travel, all fully agreed beforehand. We take payment via:-
- Wise – you send THB using our email address straight into our Wise account or you can send internationally to our Thai bank account (details supplied) for very low fees.
- Revolut – we send our handle so you can send us THB.
- PayPal invoice (with processing charges, go to them, not us) which we send to your email .You do not need a PayPal account to pay this, it can be done with any credit/debit card.
- via traditional bank transfer to our Thai bank. All fees met by you so we receive the exact amount. Any additional fees incurred on its arrival to our Thai bank will be added to the monies collected on the 1st day of travel.
- THB cash on a case by case basis but though please note, if booking a return, we take a cash deposit for the 2nd leg on the 1st day of travel.

All boat tickets between Laem Sok Pier and Koh Kood are additional to the transfer prices given above. Prices are set by the boat companies and yes, we can book them for you.
- Seudamgo’s mini catamaran is 600bt per person, children at full price from 5 years upwards, 4 and under free. It takes 60 minutes.
- Boonsiri‘s catamaran is 600bt, children priced as above, 60 minutes.
- The Koh Kut Express speedboat is 600bt per person, children priced as above, 60 minutes.
- Koh Kut Express, the express boat, is 500bt, children priced as above, 85 to 90 minutes.
- Koh Kood Princess, the slower express boat, is 350bt per person (400bt from 12/10/24) one way, kids 2 to 8 1/2 price , 1 and under free.

Koh Kood and the Koh Chang Islands are deservedly popular and in peak season, busy, busy, so please do plan ahead and book your Koh Kood transfers in advance. Of course, we can handle last minute requests, but to ensure we have availability, try and give us plenty of warning – the more time the better.

To and from Cambodia – Koh Kood Transfers by Private Car or Minibus
If you are going to or coming from Cambodia, we can arrange a private transfer for you too.
We can either meet you or drop you at the borders of Aranya Prathet (Siem Reap), Had Lek (Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville) and Ban Pakkad (Battambang). Or we also offer a door to door transfer by private car or private minibus to and from your hotel in Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh and Battambang. There is always a change of vehicle at the border.
We normally only book transfers into Cambodia if you have an evisa, very easy to order from the official Cambodian government site.
Border Guide
Going into Cambodia for Siem Reap, we suggest the 09.00 boat off Koh Kood to reach your hotel in Siem Reap late afternoon.
Cambodian Immigration at the Poipet border has improved immensely since the Covid period, so you can now usually get through quickly. Our Cambodian driver waits after the exit from Immigration at a pre-arranged meeting point with a name sign.
Coming the other way, you need a 05.15 start from Siem Reap to safely make the boat at 14.40. For the 16.00, we suggest 06.30 from your hotel. Be prepared for a longer wait and queue to clear Thai Immigration – 60 to 90 minutes or more.
At Had Lek, Immigration is quick in either direction. There are a few more locals hanging around on the Cambodian side as well as an unnecessary health check but if you are aware of it, it’s really no problem.
We can also offer Koh Kood private speedboats directly to and from this border – please just ask for more details and a quotation.
Payment
For this international transfer service, we do require a deposit as we pay the Cambodian drivers in advance. If travelling into Cambodia, payment for the balance (after the deposit has been taken) is at the border before you leave Thailand. If coming out from Cambodia, we ask for payment on arrival at your destination in Thailand.
