Flying to Trat Airport for Koh Kood (Laem Sok Pier)

Another option for getting to Koh Kood is to fly from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Trat Airport and then travel 45 minutes by road to Laem Sok Pier.

Bangkok Airways, with 4 flights daily, is the only airline that operates this route.

You can jump straight to each section:-

Flight Arrivals and Boat Connections to Koh Kood

If you take the morning PG301 flight from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), arriving at Trat Airport (TDX) at 09.20 (09.30 in rainy season), you will connect to Boonsiri’s 1st catamaran departure of the day at 10.45, price 500bt per person, You can also use use the later express boats, Koh Kood Princess at 12.30, 300bt per person or Koh Kut Express at 13.00, 350bt per person.

If you take the PG305 lunchtime flight, arriving at 12.40, you can connect with Boonsiri’s 2nd catamaran departure of the day at 14.20, 500bt per person, 60 minutes or the 15.00 Koh Kut Express Speedboat, 600bt per person, also 60 minutes.

Neither the evening PG307 flight, arriving at 17.45 (18.00 in rainy season) nor the PG309, arriving at 15.45, make any connections to any boats. You will need to stay a night in Trat at one of the many guesthouses or by the pier at the only small resort, Check and Chill.

To get from Trat Airport to Laem Sok Pier, you will need to pre-book your private transfer as explained below.

Boats from Koh Kood and Flight Departures

When departing Koh Kood, there are no early boats to make the PG302 morning flight at 10.10.

For the lunchtime PG306 flight departing at 13.10, you use the Boonsiri morning boat at 09.00 docking at Laem Sok Pier at 10.15.

For the afternoon flight PG310 flight, departing at 16.25, you can take either the Koh Kut Express speedboat, departing at 13.00, duration an hour, price 600bt or the 2nd daily service from Boonsiri, which leaves at 12.00.

You could also take the evening PG308 flight departing at 18.15 (18.30 in rainy season), but the boat times are as above – it would be a long old wait at the Airport.

To get from Laem Sok Pier to Trat Airport, you can use a pre-booked private transfer.

Private Transfer by Car or Minibus from Trat Airport to Laem Sok

From Trat Airport to Laem Sok Pier and the reverse, it is easiest to use private transfers to connect to the different boats.

These private transfers to/from Laem Sok Pier are priced at 1,500bt for a SUV style car (Innova, Fortuner, Xpander) for 2/3 adults or 2 adults, 2 child. It’s 1,700bt for a minibus for 4 to 7/8 persons.

We can organise everything for you, meeting passengers at Arrivals at Trat Airport with a name sign or directly off the boats on their return. Journey time is around 45 minutes.
