Located in the middle of the west coast, Bang Bao Beach rates as one of Koh Kood’s most attractive spots with a picture postcard bay, clear blue waters and a lovely stretch of sand.
It plays host to a handful of very good 3/4 star Koh Kood resorts, as well as couple of mid-range bungalow resorts, some backpacker huts, a guesthouse and a homestay.
Bang Bao Beach – Northern end – Resorts and Bungalows
At the northern end, garden view cottages at the boutique The Beach Natural Resort start from 5,000bt, moving through 7,500bt for the standard villa and then all the way up to 13,500bt for its deluxe beach view villas.
Next door, Koh Kood Resort offers garden view and seaview bungalows ranging from from 3,000bt to 4,000bt.
Up on the hill, complete with its magnificent ocean views and infinity pool, To The Sea Resort, has 3 different styles of villa, rates between 5,000bt to 7,500bt a night.
The access road down to these resorts is located directly opposite Fisherman Hut Music Station and about a kilometre down it, you’ll also find the stylish Koh Kood BED’s. In its single storey building, it serves up a handful of large a/c deluxe rooms at 2,800bt per night.
Continuing on right to the end of this road, you reach Jasmine Resort, which is opening in late 2019. Overlooking the coast at the back of the beach, it combines double bungalows with 3 family rooms in a private garden setting., prices from 3,500bt a night.
Southern end – Resorts and Bungalows
Siam Beach Resort sits in the middle of the beach, with its various brightly painted bungalows and cabanas starting at 2,000bt a night.
Siam Huts has recently opened next door, with more backpacker style accommodation from 600bt to 1,200bt a night.
Sand and Sea over on the southern headland offers a handful of fan rooms with shared bathroom or small basic huts from 500bt to 1,000bt.
Up by the main road, Baan Suan Homestay completes the picture with 6 different style rooms in a nicely kept garden, prices from 1,150bt for the basic fan and 1,500bt for a standard double a/c style.
