Located at the southern end of the very popular White Sand Beach, Chang Buri Resort and Spa has 110 rooms, suite and villas overlooking the ocean and on the hillside in pretty landscaped gardens, together with swimming pools, a spa, restaurant and pool bar.

The amenities in Chang Buri rooms include individually controlled air-conditioning, fans, LCD TVs, cable tv access, in-room safe, coffee and tea facilities, refridgerators, hairdryer, bathroom accessories and wifi. The villas have additional facilities such as DVDs and whirlpools.
Pool and Sea
Chang Buri Resort has two swimming pools, one for the hillside complex and a terrific infinity style pool overlooking the ocean.
Chang Buri Resort is located at the start of the cliffs at the southern end of the beach, so has no direct access to the sand or sea. You can easily walk 5 or so minutes just down the hill and use the walkway by Du Talay Resort to reach the beach. From there, you can walk past the fronts of the other resorts all the way to the northern headland.
Spa
The Apsara Spa offers massage, steam room and treatments, open daily from 08.00am to 19.00.
Dining at Chang Buri Resort
Chang Buri lays on a buffet breakfast in both its hillside and seaside restaurants and the Sala Restaurant also offers an all day menu of Thai and western dishes as well as an evening BBQ. Both pools also have a bar and there is a good coffee shop on site.
The food receives mixed reviews, with the buffet breakfast, as it so often the case, loved and loathed in equal measure. Outside the resort, you can easily walk at street level or along the beach to a wide variety of restaurants – everything from street food to beach bbq’s, fruit markets, convenience stores, beach bars and even a nightclub. Chang Buri is very close to the beer bar zoned area as well.

Chang Buri Resort and Spa is solid 3 star Koh Chang accommodation. .
The hillside rooms are practical rather than outstanding. The seaside poolside and pool villas, on the other hand, show some very nice design touches. They have been cleverly spaced out in the gardens, with the ocean-fronting pool a dramatic centerpiece. From the top terrace, it is indeed an impressive sight.
Being located up on the rocks at this southern end of White Sand Beach does not create too many problems unless you absolutely insist on being able to step straight into the sea – it’s very easy and quick to pop along the road and reach the sand that way. Similarly, the beer bar area nearby does not really affect the resort, though it might draw a few smiles.
In summary, Chang Buri Resort is another good and reliable choice in this area, not top-end luxurious but definitely a notch or two above that mid-range.

White Sand Beach is Koh Chang’s most developed area. Its main street is lined with resorts and hotels, small and large, shops, tickets offices, massage, shops and restaurants. Its nightlife includes a nightclub, various sports bars and at the southern end, a zoned beer bar area.
The beach itself is one of Koh Chang’s best, great powder sand and calm blue waters, busy at day with sunbathers and daytrippers and nicely crowded at night when the tables and chairs come out for dining by the sea.
It’s a very safe but touristy choice as a holiday destination, suitable for families, couples, even backpackers.
