If you think the south and east coast of Koh Mak a little remote, then the north coast goes one better.
There are just two resorts, Cinnamon Art Resort and Spa and Koh Mak Green View Resort, both in splendid isolation at the end of their own narrow roads, but remember there are no sand beaches, no restaurants and no shops.
Cinnamon Resort has a vast array of different styled accommodations, starting from 2,900bt for its seaview rooms and going up to 7,900bt for the pool hut villas. Green View Resort meanwhile offers fan rooms from 500bt up to family rooms for 2,500bt.
The resorts would suit couples for sure, perhaps families, even lone travellers but to completely escape, these two spots are hard to beat. We would advise renting a motorbike to enable you to visit the rest of the island.
