The very pretty coves of Klong Hin Beach are home to one of Koh Kood’s best boutique resorts, a unique homestay, an older bungalow operation and both new in 2024, a small guesthouse and home to rent.
On the Way to the Beach
Located in its own very private bay just before you reach the actual beach area proper, you’ll find the charming boutique Hideout Koh Kood. It offers around 15 standard villas, with a further 10 or so exquisite pool villas added in 2024. Prices are from 2,800bt up to 6,500bt in peak season.
Also new in 2024, Gecko House is a one/two bedroom house for rent shortly before Hideout on the access road – 3,500bt to 4,500bt in low season so expect this to increase in peak.
On the Beach
Once down on the beach itself, Klong Hin Beach Resort has the prime spot on the sand. Built a good few years ago, it’s a Thai style resort mainly used by tour groups and does not have online booking. Prices in theory start at 2,000bt a night but rooms are normally only sold as packages.
At the southern end, A La Kood comprises 10 ensuite a/c rooms in 2 tastefully converted fisherman houses on stilts over the lagoon as well as a range of individual cabanas (the old Montana Huts) on the lagoon opposite – prices at 4,000bt a night in the homestay style, 4,400bt for the bungalows.
To access A La Kood by vehicle, you’ll find a signed track leading off the main road a couple of kilometres after the backpacker bungalows (Eve House, Wooden Hut) and Kuba Lounge. Heads up, it’s one of the few access areas on Koh Kood that has yet to be concreted.
On this access road about 100 metres from beach and A La Kood, hyperLu Space (sic) is a guesthouse within a traditional Thai wooden 2 storey building – budget room, double room, fan and shared bathroom – 450bt to 500bt in low season so assume a few 100bt more for peak.
Prices given are for peak season (but not the Xmas/New Year period) via booking sites, not the hotel websites. They are intended as guides only.
