Lonely Beach bungalows and resorts on come in many shapes and sizes, from dorm rooms with shared bathroom to fan backpacker rooms or a/c bungalows right through to resorts with pool villas.
You’ll find somewhere to suit all budgets, just do bear in mind that Lonely Beach is a party area with lots of late night music from the parties and bars.
Prices given are for the peak period (outside of Xmas/New Year period) via booking sites, not the hotel websites. They are intended as guides only.

On the Beach – Lonely Beach Bungalows and Resorts
There are just three places to stay on Lonely Beach itself.
Bhumiyama Plus Resort offers large Lanna style houses over two floors, with further rooms at the back too. It’s all set in lovely gardens with multi-level swimming pools. Prices in peak season range from 2,000bt to 3,800bt per night.
Siam Beach Resort at the northern end, has two storey blocks housing seaview rooms. These start from 3,400bt, whilst its superior pool villas are in the region of 4,800bt a night.
The very popular Nature Beach Resort mixes chic thatch rooms alongside newer boutique style bungalows with a cute infinity pool and arguably, the premier beach style diner on Koh Chang. Expect prices between 1,700bt at the rear, 3,200bt on the front and 5,900bt for the family bungalow in the peak season, more in Xmas week/New Year.

Very popular resort with newer style cabins in a row on the one side, just steps from the sand. Or lovely older thatch roofed bungalows and set back by the klong or canal behind. Great hang out restaurant, Nature Rocks, in prime location and night time bar venue. Beach-side swimming pool. A Lonely Beach institution, with beach parties on the big calendar dates and anniversaries of it opening.
Siam Beach Resort

Sea-side
Private villas with plunge pools, downstairs or upstairs rooms in individual 2 storey houses or a hotel style block – all on the beach. Swimming pool, restaurant and tours.
The Village – Lonely Beach Bungalows and Resorts
The rest of the Lonely Beach bungalows and the the boutique resort Nest Sense are found in the village, a 7 minute walk south from the beach itself.
The village is laid out in a grid system, with two sois or streets, Soi Tian Chai 1 and Soi Tian Chai 2, running parallel with one another as they lead off the main road down to the rocky seafront. Along each of these, you will find bars, restaurants, guesthouses and bungalows, all jostling for space and attention.
Between Beach and Village
In the Lonely Beach Complex between the beach and the village, there are very basic basic rooms at Titanic on To The Beach Road which leads down to the complex itself, 750bt a night, a/c.
At the far end, Tchin Tchin Guesthouse is a new addition in 25/26 – rooms over two floors in a single building just back from the ocean. Prices start at 1,000bt for a ground floor fan option, with the upstairs sea view a/c at 2.000bt. It has a bar/restaurant on the seafront.
As you reach the village, new in 2026, Lazy Elephant opened its doors on the forest side by the bridge – high standard bungalows from 1,500bt a night, family rooms for 4/5 persons too.
Ploy Inn, also on this side, has different sized rooms in its 2 storey motel style block – prices start at 800bt a night but look out for the frequent deals.
Along Soi 1
Down into Soi 1, Thale Guesthouse is now only open for food and drinks but next door, Cafe Del Sunshine has its restaurant, with the accommodation a mixture of rooms and dorm bed on the little connecting street back to Soi 2. Rates per night at either range from 200bt for a bunk bed in a dorm room to 300bt for single fan room, 500bt for double with fan and 750bt for an a/c double.
On this same connecting street, Crazy Bananas has budget fan rooms from 350 or bungalows (fan) at 600bt.
At the bottom of Soi 1, Sea Flower offers reasonable rates from 500bt to 1,500bt for its fan or a/c rooms by the ocean on the rocks. It’s just a short walk along the back route to the actual beach.
Meanwhile, also bang on the seafront, Sunstone took over the old Sunset Huts spot and after a substantial rebuild and renovation, it now has around 20 boutique bungalows both on the ocean and in the garden behind. Prices start at 1,900bt for the standard garden, through 2,600bt for partial seaview to 3,500bt for ones on the front. Family rooms too and there is a terrific restaurant area out over the sea.
You can no longer connect from here back to Soi 2.
Sunstone Koh Chang

On the seafront in the old Sunset Huts spot, this stylish boutique style resort opened in 2026, featuring well appointed, chic bungalows either in the garden or on the ocean, family options too.
“text-align: left;”>Lovely wooden deck out over the rocks at the restaurant. Can swim here. A welcome addition to the area, though the nightlife noise will carry.
Sea Flower Bungalows

Sea-side
Sea view a/c or smaller fan bungalows behind, located along the rocky seafront. Minimart, cafe, no restaurant. Away from the bustle, short walk to the beach via the back bridge past the LB Complex.
Along Soi 2
Located on the bottom corner of Soi 2 at the end of Sunstone, you’ll find the small, well maintained Blue Sky Resort at 540bt (fan hut, shared bathroom) to 1,350bt (seaview, a/c bungalows) a night – a good under-the-radar choice.
Opposite Blue Sky Resort, the excellent compact boutique Warapura Resort, stands out as a firm favourite with the flashpacker crowd – stylish rooms either on the seafront or just behind and a great restaurant too. Prices range from 2,300bt for seaview to 3,000bt for a villa on the front – deals available.
Once part of Warapura, Navagio branched out on its own a few years back, taking the pool with it . It has a range of boutique style rooms from as low as 1,000bt for a double room to around 1,300bt for the suite or 2,500bt for the family room – all a/c.
Just behind Navagio, Squanchy Elephant Hostel has men or women dorms (shared or private bathrooms) at 300bt to 350bt a bed in the season.
Going back up Soi 2 towards the main road, Slumber Resort offers a combination of budget doubles at 850bt up to deluxes at 1,500bt – swimming pool, cafe and hang-out area too.
Further up, the smart 10 room resort Carpe Diem offers good clean doubles from 900bt in high season. You’ll spot too the other end of the connectin road to Soi 1 here (home to Crazy Bananas and the rooms of Cafe Del Sunshine).
Warapura Resort

Compact excellently well maintained boutique resort of just 9 rooms with stylish seaside or garden villas connected by wooden walkways and paths. Cafe and popular, hip Roxy Bar restaurant by the sea. Ten minutes to the beach. Recommended.
Navagio (formerly Casa Beach Resort)

Behind Warapura
What was the other half of Warapura, Navgio offers double rooms (top) and triple rooms (bottom) in 2 storey villas as well as separate bungalows, double rooms and other options near the pool and on the hillside. Swimming pool, small restaurant, small bar. Ten minutes to the beach.
Blue Sky Resort

Tucked away on the corner of Soi 2, this small resort has a handful of a/c and fan concrete bungalows by the sea and bamboo/wood style in two neat rows in the garden behind. Tent accommodation in singles and doubles possible too. Drinks and simple Thai food in the tiny cafe. WiFi. Only a few minutes from the beach via the back route.
Carpe Diem

On the Soi (Small Street)
About 1/2 way along Soi 2, clean little resort with 10 a/c rooms, all ensuite bathrooms. located on both sides of a great little swimming pool. Restaurant with Thai and western food, good breakfasts. Bar with sports. WiFi. Australian and Thai owned, sociable and fun.
Along the Main Street Heading South
Emerging back on the main thoroughfare, you’ll find yet more Lonely Beach bungalows lining each side of the road as you head further south.
From the same owners as Beach Jungle below, Sleep Inn offers 6 a/c doubles – around 1 ,700bt a night in high season, relaxation deck added in 2026. Next door, O Zen Resort is the new name for the renovated Kachapura – same owners but it looks much refreshed, 18 bungalows in the garden, prices similar to Sleep Inn.
The long running Lonely Beach Pool Resort offers bungalow accommodation within its well kept gardens and has a swimming pool. Expect prices starting at 800bt a night upwards.
Opposite them, Bamboo Hut has a handful of old style 1,000bt huts behind its restaurant, whilst the Aussie/Thai run Beach Jungle, offers a real mixture of different styles and types – dorm rooms, double rooms, deluxe rooms and family accommodation. Prices range from 385bt a night to 4,250bt for the family house, though there is a minimum 2 night stay in high season.
Next door, Moondance Inn is a smart home stay with rooms at 1,000bt up, a little cafe at the front and alongside, the Russian owned Exotic Bungalows is about the same. It has a small swimming pool.
Soi 3
On the mountain side of the main street, another narrow lane, Soi Tian Chai 3, snakes its way uphill. Various small bungalow resorts, Modern Bungalows, Day and Night, Janina’s, Cozy Huts and Little Eden either side as you climb up to the excellent Oasis Resort at the top. Prices across the board are in the 500bt to 1,500bt bracket (excluding family rooms).
Far End
After taking over from the old BB Hostel, Jungle Fever has reinvigorated things too and now offers a combination of dorm accommodation bunk beds alongside private rooms and a swimming pool – 550bt to 2,500bt. Their new neighbour, the Spanish owned Tropical Nest Jungle Stay popped up in 2026 – doubles with balconies looking out at the forest at 2,000bt, tapas diner at the front.
Easy Life, offering a small selection of fans rooms from 950bt to deluxe a/c at 1,500bt rooms, all set behind the excellent restaurant/bar.
Opposite them both, the long running Magic Garden combines a range of traditional thatch and concrete rooms with a good restaurant out front and an all-together happy backpacker vibe..
Oasis Resort

At the top of the hill with fabulous views, small intimate well run resort with mixture of stone a/c or wooden fan bungalows, all set in the jungle garden. Restaurant with a unique treehouse, swimming pool. 10 minutes to the beach. WiFi. Recommended.

Long running backpacker resort with wide selection of different styled bungalows, ensuite, fan or a/c all set in a large mature tropical garden. Chill out restaurant which gets good reviews, coffee, WiFi and cocktails, movies and the odd party.
Little Eden Bungalows

Near the Top of Soi 3
Towards the top of the inland hill in the village, compact and very well looked-after resort of 11 fan bungalows, 3 a/c cottages and family jungle penthouse, all laid out in a garden setting with connecting paths. Restaurant. Quiet, chilled out spot. WiFi.
Southern End – Lonely Beach Bungalows and Resorts
At the far southern end as you leave the village and head towards Bailan Beach, the portacabin dorms and private rooms of My Hostel have reopened, walk-in for prices. Immediately next door to it, though, the final small street on the right leads down to the boutique resort, Nest Sense and the bungalows of Paradise Cottage.
Complete with its infinity pool, Nest Sense, is the premier resort in Lonely Beach comprising around 20 rooms and pool villas only. Prices at the bottom end are 3,800bt for the deluxe rooms at the rear, 8,775bt for the seaview pool villas and up to 9,450bt for the seaside pool villas.
Paradise Cottage, meanwhile, has been a stalwart of the area for many years, a stylish mix of lounge bar and restaurant, plunge pool and chic, brushed concrete bungalows – fan in the garden at 600bt, seafront a/c cabana up to 2,000bt. It too has a small pool.
Paradise Cottage

30 fan and a/c rooms, ensuite in several rows leading back from the rocky shoreline. Hip restaurant, with chill-out salas by the water, bar, small swimming pool, even the occasional party. Away from the madding crowd but 15 minutes to the beach. WiFi.
Nest Sense Resort

On the same little road leading to Paradise, as you leave the village towards Bailan Beach, terrific boutique resort with pool villas (seaside or seaview) on stepped levels overlooking the sea and additional deluxe rooms at the rear. No beach but with small infinity pool. Bistro style restaurant, 15 minutes walk to Lonely Beach. Chic, tasteful, peaceful.

On a connecting street between Soi 1 and Soi 2, mix of rooms and dorm accommodation in stylish wooden 2 storey building. Good restaurant, noted for breakfasts, ticket agency. Noise from bars.

In Summary – Lonely Beach Bungalows and Resorts
As you make your final choice, it is worth bearing in mind that Lonely Beach, Soi 1 in particular, is the island’s nightlife capital so there can be a good deal of extraneous noise. In theory, there is a cut off time of midnight, but things may rumble on and on (Ting Tong in particular).
As long as you are fully aware of this, it’s a great place to hang out, the small beach remains one of Koh Chang’s very best, you’ll meet a lot of nice people with whom to share a beer or cocktail and at some point, you may well fall head over heels in love (or drunk).
Given you’re on holiday, it’s also good to know that the one thing Lonely Beach on Koh Chang does not do very well, is get up early.
