Koh Kood resorts, bungalows, gueshouses and homestays total about 160 and are almost all located on the west coast.

Luxury

The luxury high end market was dominated by Soneva Kiri in the far north of the island where prices start at around 45,000bt a night for the various sized pool villas and pool suites – very exclusive. However, this changed hands in 2025, was renamed to Kiri Private Reserve and then closed  for renovations, scheduled to re-open late 2026.

High Season on Klong Chao Beach, is not in the same bracket, but their own wide selection of pool villas range from 12,500bt in the garden to 25,000bt for the beachfront suite.

3/4 Star

Great 3/4 star Koh Kood resorts include The Beach Natural Resort and Koh Kood Resort, both at the northern end of Bang Bao Beach. Or you could look at Tinkerbell Privacy, which has prime position on Klong Chao Beach, with its front row on the sand and its 2nd row replacing the direct seaview with your own small pool.

Captain Hook Resort, accessed only by sea in Klong Yai Kee and Ajinta Resort (formerly Cham’s House) on Ao Takian Beach are two other very private and well run choices.

Rooms in these Koh Kood resorts range from 4,500bt up to 25,000bt for deluxe, sea view and pool villas (with two bedroom options) .

Also in this area, Survival by Seudam gives glamping a boutique feel with its classy a/c bell tents and chic shared bathroom – assume 4,900bt, family options too.

Rest Sea Resort (same group as Koh Kood Resort) is by the sea at one end of Ao Phrao Beach, down in Koh Kood’s far south west  – 5,000bt for standard to 7,500bt for its cute pol villas. On the river behind, the 4 rooms at the designer B & B Salty and Sunny are similarly priced  or the equally stylish Escape Life is a little cheaper.

Down on the beach itself, the bungalows in the perfectly kept garden at Dusita Resort start from 4,500bt a night (their website). On one side of it, S-Beach is an older Thai affair, used mostly for packages with double or triple cabins at 1,900bt upwards. Squeezed in amongst the local houses on the jetty around the inlet, Klongmad Hostel (in two separate houses one on either side), is a popular homestay option, 1,300bt with breakfast for a double room in low season – often booked as packages. Ao Salad and Ao Yai – Resorts, Homestays

The two east coast fishing villages of Ao Salad and Ao Yai, would not necessarily be top of people’s list of where to stay on Koh Kood, but there are still a few options.

In Ao Salat, about a kilometre from the pier, Ao Salat View offers a selection of standard bungalows, small pool and restaurant, prices between 750bt and 950bt a night – great too for kayaking into the bay.
