Trat Airport is served by Bangkok Airways, which operates a lunchtime and afternoon flight from BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport. The same service is also available in reverse.
Trat Airport itself lies about 17km from Ao Thammachat Pier, the ferry departure point for Koh Chang. Transfer time from airport to pier is around 25 minutes.
Note: There will also be a morning flight in both directions from 26/10/25.

CIQ Connections
As Trat is C.I.Q approved, passengers with international connections on participating carriers may be able to check through baggage, receive boarding pass(es) and complete Customs/Immigration/Quarantine (C.I.Q) directly at the Airport.

Connecting Times in BKK and Check In at Trat
- At BKK Suvarnbhumi Airport, MCT (Minumum Connecting Time) is 75 minutes.
- At Trat Airport, you should be there 60 minutes before departure but this is actually quite flexible.
Getting Between Trat Airport and Koh Chang
From Trat Airport, there are either private transfers or shared minibuses to and from Koh Chang.
The private transfer is priced at 2,500bt for a minibus for 4 adults, with an additional person at 100bt. The SUV car is 2,000bt for 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 young child. This is a door to door service including the fast ferry tickets. For beaches at the far end of the west coast (Lonely Beach to Klong Goi/Bang Bao), please add 200bt.
When going from the island to Trat Airport, resort collections are set specifically for your flight times, so there are never any problems.
During busy holiday times such as New Year and Songkran, when ferry queues can be extremely long, a two vehicle system may be used. With this, one vehicle collects you from your resort to go to the pier. You walk on the ferry and a second vehicle waits for you on the mainland for the final transfer to the Airport.
The share minibus is 950bt per person with ferry ticket, 1,800bt round trip. It too delivers you to your resort direct.

As shown above, Bangkok Airways runs a summer (30/3/25 to 25/10/25) and winter (26/10/25 to 28/3/26) timetable, meaning there are distinct changes to the lunchtime flights (PG305, PG306) but no variation on the evening flight (PG306, PG308).
Note too that they are adding too a morning flight (PG301, PG302) from 26/10/25 till 28/3/26.

Flights are available from Trat through to Koh Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai, but you will need to change in Bangkok.
